If potty training has become a battle — your child isn't being difficult. They're not ready to feel brave yet.
There's a gentle bibliotherapy technique for exactly this. We built it into a personalized book where your child is the hero who learns to go all on their own.

- The hero feels the tummy signal — just like your child
- A calm mentor shows the way, without pressure
- They go all by themselves — and feel proud

Your child's photo
Another pair of pants in the wash. They held it for hours, then went the second you left the room. You knelt by the little potty, cheerful voice cracking.
You're mopping the floor. Again.
You've probably already tried…
- Sticker charts for every success
- Sitting them on the potty every 20 minutes
- Big-kid underwear as a bribe
- Pull-ups that quietly became a crutch
A 70-year-old child-psych method. Now, written just for your child.
It's called bibliotherapy. Give a child a hero who faces the same problem — and solves it. The child learns by identification, not by being told. No lecture. No reward chart. Just a story they ask to read again.
Based on research published in the Journal of Clinical Child Psychology.
First an adventure.
Then a superpower.
Four acts, woven invisibly. Your child sees a story. Their brain absorbs a coping skill.

The Adventure
A splash of adventure. Pure fun. No lesson yet. They’re completely hooked.

The Big Feeling
The hero feels it: a pressing feeling in their tummy. Your child recognises: “I know that feeling!”

The Wise Mentor
A calm, encouraging character shows what to do — step by step, without fuss. By doing, not telling.

Super Independent
The hero goes — all by themselves. Pride, celebration, a new skill. Your child takes that feeling into real life.

We built this after our own 5:30 pm.
Our daughter went through a phase nothing seemed to fix. Reward charts. Rituals. Gentle-parenting podcasts. Nothing worked — until a story did. Then we learned it was a real clinical technique. So we built the tool we wish we’d had.
If today was a hard one — we hope our story helps yours.
We've got answers.
What age is this for?
Fiktola are designed for children ages 2–6. The story length, vocabulary, and illustration style are tuned for this range. We have customers using them successfully up to age 8.
Is it really "AI-generated"? Will it feel generic?
The writing is AI-assisted — but every story is built from scratch around your child's name, age, hobbies, family, and the struggle you picked. It's not a template with blanks filled in. You can also edit any sentence and regenerate any illustration until it feels exactly right.
How does the photo thing work — and is it safe?
You upload one photo. We use it only as a reference to illustrate your child as the hero. The photo is stored encrypted and deleted once you approve the drawings — 30 days at most. We never share it. You can read the full data policy here.
What if my child doesn't like the first draft?
Before you pay, you can generate as many stories as you like — change the name, the character, the genre or the plot, with our AI helping along the way. You even see the book's cover before you check out. Once you confirm, the story text is set. The illustrations stay 100% in your hands: regenerate and fine-tune any page with AI until every picture feels right. Only then do you — optionally — order the hardcover. So you'll never end up with a book you don't love.
How long does the hardcover take to arrive?
We print and ship globally. Typical delivery is 4–9 business days in Europe and North America, 7–14 elsewhere. Tracking is included.
What languages do you support?
English, Dutch and German today.
Does this actually work, or is it hopeful marketing?
Bibliotherapy is a clinically studied technique. It isn’t magic — it’s a well-structured story that gives your child language and a mental model for what they feel.
The next try could be the one that sticks.
100% personalized · your child as the hero · proven child-psych method · story ready in minutes.
